10 Best Wedding Exit Ideas
We’ve seen a LOT of really freakin’ cool wedding exits, and we love getting to share them with engaged couples who are looking to find the perfect way to end on a high note at the end of their wedding day! Here are a few of our absolute favorite wedding exit ideas!
Confetti
Who doesn’t LOVE confetti?!
A fun and environmental way to do confetti is to dry flower petals for your guest to throw as you exit!
Sparklers
JUMPING IN THE POOL
While this exit isn’t for the faint of heart, it will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression on everyone at your wedding! If you want to end your night with a splash, and your venue just so happens to have a pool… take the plunge and live a little! Chances are guest (and possibly your photographer) will end up jumping in after you creating memories you will never EVER forget.
STREAMERS
These bad boys might just steal the cake. Easily my FAVORITE wedding exit of all time was with these streamer poppers! They make for GORGEOUS photos, they’re easy to use, and aren’t sticks of fire that your drunk guests are waving at you!
The BEST thing about these is the clean up- the streamers stay attached to the poppers and you just wrap them back around their popper and vwa-la! No sweeping, picking tiny pieces up for the rest of the night, just a gorgeous way to say goodbye and photos to remember it by!
Or, you can rep your favorite team’s colors by having your guests wave streamers like Robbie and Casey did for their wedding at Memphis Made!
LAST CALL
If you are looking for a simple “exit” that everyone will love, rounding up your friends for a drink together around the bar during last call is the perfect way to end the night.
FIREWORKS
FAKE SNOW
Whether you are getting married at a ski resort in the mountains of Vermont, or right here in Memphis (where we NEVER see snow….) Fake snow for your exit is the perfect way to give yourselves a wintery send-off even if the weather is warm! Plus it looks so so cute!
GETAWAY CAR
But…when?
Then comes the question, WHEN should we do our exit? I know you’re probably thinking, at the end, duh. And while 99% of the time that makes sense, there’s also other options for your wedding “exit” that you might not have considered before!
- immediately after your ceremony
(this is my favorite, because you don’t have to move everyone anywhere or set anything up…
it’s already ready to roll and feels so natural!)
-Lining your wedding party up and using them as your exit tunnel
-as your announced into your reception
-leaving your reception
Each of these options have pros and cons, and ultimately depend on what you are wanting to do for your exit and what works best for you! We also recommend talking to your venue to make sure they are okay with whatever exit you are planning!
