"Spencer and I have been together for 8 years this October.
We met on the school bus when I was 15 and he was 16. I have always been kinda shy so it took a lot for me to get the nerve to talk to him. I first saw him on the school bus and for some reason I ALWAYS got butterflies around him before I even knew him or met him. It so crazy when people say "love at first sight" or "you'll know when you found the right one" and then you actually get that feeling. I never really believed in that until I actually experienced it myself. Since day one he has always been the most selfless person to me, he always puts his self second and always try's to make sure I am happy. He never fails to tell me he loves me before I go to bed every single night and everyday before I go to work. One thing that stood out to me about him was how caring and "old school" his personality was when it came to our relationship. Nowadays it's hard to find a genuine, caring, selfless, MAN & since day one he has always been that way towards me. I can literally tell him anything, cry my eyes out to him, and laugh about anything and everything with him. I look back to when we first met and where we are now and I just get so excited and happy. We have been through so many milestone together. Graduating high school, college, getting our first big-girl and big-boy jobs and so many other things.
My wedding day will mean EVERYTHING to me. It's the beginning to a new chapter in our lives. It something I knew would happen since I saw him for the first time on the school bus.
Spencer cares so much about me and I care so much about him. Every relationship has ups and downs but at the end of the day we are there for each other and try to never put each other down. We always try to lift the other person up. Marrying him will be the best day of my life because that means I get to spend my whole entire life, until I die with my best friend. The person who I can tell or say anything to and never even question if he is going to judge me. The person I can trust with my life, and someone who will never let me down. I have learned how to love someone unconditionally, trust without question, and have patience through the tough times because of him, and I have learned who I am as a person through him.
He is seriously my best friend and the best thing that has happened to me.
I was SO excited to take our engagement pictures. We have never taken any pictures together like that in the 8 YEARS years we have been dating (crazy I know), but Spencer isn't one for taking pictures so it was always hard to get him to take pictures. Spencer and I are two very laid back, simple people. We aren't ones for anything fancy so just the simple outdoorsy type pictures were PERFECT for us.
I thought it was so funny how awkward Spencer was. It definitely kept me laughing throughout the entire session and we just embraced our silly, awkward selves."
