A Colorful and Eccentric Senior Session with Kat | Memphis Senior Photographer
I don't even know where to start with this chick. I loved getting to know her at our session and just hang out with her, honestly.
She's one of the coolest people I've had the chance to know through photography. She's so down to earth and just radiates positivity, and I think thats one reason why it was so easy and fun to make her senior pictures portray her personality.
Kat is a senior at Lake Cormorant High School and plans to attend The University of Memphis next year to pursue her love of art and music.
When we were planning her senior pictures, she told me that she's very artsy; colorful and bright and eccentric with a touch of vintage.
Then, she told me she would love to incorporate her love of playing music.
So she grabbed a banjolele, and we found ourselves in one of the quirkiest, most colorful coffee shops in Memphis, Otherlands Coffee Bar.
It was the perfectly bright and bold, and it was exactly what we wanted for her senior pictures.
"I play the guitar and piano. Music has always been a huge passion of mine. It gives me a sense of purpose and peace. I want to explore and find myself through my music.
It gave me an outlet during dark times in my life, and helped me see my way through them.
After I graduate high school, I want to be successful and hard working. I want to have a servant's heart, and to serve those who are not as blessed as I have been.
And I want to express myself through any opportunities that God gives me and use those to grow." -Katherina Huynh
