A Cozy, Downtown Memphis Engagement Session with Rachel & Perry | Memphis, TN
Guys, I don't even know where to start with these two.
I guess I'll start at the beginning.
The day I met Rachel and Perry, we met up at Avenue Coffee near the University of Memphis just to chat about their wedding over coffee and get to know each other.
We ended up talking for HOURS before we even realized how long we had been talking. Instantly, Rachel was a friend. Partly because we couldn't shut up when we're together, but also because she shared her coffee smoothie with me and thats TRUE FRIENDSHIP OK.
Finding couples I connect with and instantly feel like I've known forever is one of my favorite parts about being a wedding photographer. Connecting with my couples and making sure they are comfortable with me helps me not only see their day from a professional point of view, but also as a friend.
For their engagement session, we also met up for coffee! (Seeing a trend here? hmmm....)
Rachel and Perry spent the first half of their engagement session sipping coffee in the CUTEST cafe in downtown Memphis, giggling and snuggling while they enjoyed their cups of joe.
Then we headed outside to make the most of the beautiful changing leaves and the riverside sunset! Memphis sunsets are incomparable in my opinion, and since their wedding will be in San Antonio TX next year, I wanted to soak up as much Memphis as we could for their engagement!
Lastly, we headed over to watch the last bit of the sunset and all the downtown city lights start to flicker on.
This is my favorite time of day to enjoy the Mississippi River and that beautiful Memphis skyline, and I'm SO glad I got to spend the afternoon doing just that with this sweet couple.
