A Whimsical Wedding at Spring Creek Ranch in Memphis, TN | Caitlin and Matt
So many of Caitlin’s details were sentimental. Her grandmother had a sapphire ring that all of her cousins borrowed on their wedding day. Matt's mom let Caitlin borrow a gold, vintage pin that belonged to his grandmother that they pinned to her bouquet. Caitlin’s mom made a garter out of the fabric from her grandmother’s dress, and she borrowed the veil that her sister wore on her wedding day. It was so sweet seeing all the meaning behind her details.
“I went upstairs for me to read Caitlin's letter. I honestly didn't consider how emotional I'd be, but I ended up crying through the whole thing.”

“I loved reading Matt's letter to me before the ceremony - I hadn't seen or talked to Matt all day, so it was comforting to take a moment and read his letter before walking down the aisle.”

“One of my favorite parts of the day was giving my parents their gifts before the ceremony. They have done so much to support me as their daughter and us as a couple. I wanted them to know just how much we love and appreciate them.”

“After arriving at the venue, things started to move more quickly. I got dressed, started taking pictures, exchanged gifts with my parents, and before I knew it, the only people left in the bridal suite were me and my dad. Everyone else was out there waiting for us. I wanted time to slow down!”

“I remember right before I walked down the aisle with my dad, we paused and just took a deep breath. I typically don't like the feeling of having all eyes on me, and the last thing I wanted was for my nerves to take away from how special that moment was.
As cliche as it sounds, when they pulled back the curtain and I saw Matt for the first time, everything else kind of blurred into the background. I just saw Matt, and was immediately overcome by emotion--happiness, love, and most of all gratitude that I was finally about to become Matt's wife. I had been anticipating that walk down the aisle for so long, and it definitely exceeded my expectations. I'll remember that moment forever.”

“Seeing Caitlin walk down the aisle was emotional. A lot had been leading up to that moment, not just that day, but for the past few years. I was just happy to see her and be with her. Caitlin looked amazing.”

“We visited a couple of venues in the Memphis area, but we immediately fell in love with Spring Creek Ranch. We loved how it was rustic, but romantic. Neither one of us wanted a particularly "fancy" wedding, so we liked how the venue felt a little more relaxed and casual, and how it had both indoor and outdoor spaces.”

“When we arrived at the venue in the afternoon, I was completely blown away - the flowers, the set up, the details, the WEATHER. Everything was perfect.
My friends later told me that everything about the wedding felt very "us" - referring to me and Matt - which made me really happy.”
“Listening to the toasts (my dad & sisters, and Matt's brother) - we're both very close to our families, so it was special to hear from people who know us so well and have been such a big part of our love story.”
The rest of the night was just FUN. After dinner and toasts, the sun started to go down, the DJ started playing music, and the dance floor lights came on. This is one of my favorite parts of any wedding, and ours was no different.
