A Spring Wedding at Cypress Hall in Hernando, MS | Leah & Benjamin

“I wore my grandmothers engagement ring for my something borrowed and all of my details of the day were placed on an old mirror that she had given my mom.”

“I don't care how cliche it sounds but to simply put it, it was magical. More than I could have ever imagined. The day started by me getting ready with my best girls and although I could not sit down because I was so excited I was enjoying every moment. Everyone kept asking me how I felt, but I couldn't describe it. It was a feeling that I had never felt before. The day flew by and I wanted to see ben so badly, just to ask him about his day and to see how it was.”

“When I finally walked down the aisle to him I couldn't stop looking at him. He was the same person but in a way I was seeing him again for the first time. It was an amazing day and I wish I could relive it everyday of my life. Excitement, pure joy and happiness!!! I always thought I was going to be a blubbering mess on my wedding day but I was just so so happy that I could only muster up a few tears. Seeing him at the end of the aisle was the best feeling. My dad whispered in my ear to slow down as we were walking but i couldn't. I wanted to get to him as fast as I could.”

“During the ceremony we broke off and highlighted specific verses that we wanted to implement in our marriage. I loved this time because mine and ben's backs were to the audience and it was just him and I sharing in this special time.”

(It was a little muddy around the barn where we were planning on taking pictures,
but instead of letting that slow them down,
Ben just threw Leah over his shoulder and carried her!)

“We printed off pictures from our grandparents’ wedding days and put them in frames so that we could have something of them with us on our day.”

“Ben is not the typical groom. He had his hand in the planning almost as much as I did. He actually picked out our first song. I had something different in mind but when I saw how much he loved the song he picked out I couldn’t say no to it. He has tears in his eyes when we listened to it for the first time. Ben and I both picked out each song that we had for the reception while our guests were eating and for the dancing part of it.”
